Fire documentation

Let us explain

Fire protection is about documentation. Knowing which documentation is correct and interpreting the information is not always simple.
Are you unsure?

What documentation do you need?

Let us guide you

When you intend to use fire-protected wood, it is not enough to just look at the fire class. You must have an overview of the whole, which means that you must compare the conditions for which you will use the wood product in relation to how the current product you intended to use and how the result was achieved.

Some important factors to check are:

  • Wood type and thickness
  • Mounting ratio
  • Split panel
  • Air gap
  • Surface treatment
  • Insulation
  • Substrate

In addition to these prerequisites, you need to ensure correct documentation:

  • Declaration of performance, current EN standard, system 1
  • CE certificate, current EN standard, system 1
  • Type approval certificate (national regulations)

Remember that the documentation below is not equivalent to certifying documentation:

  • Statement from individual actor
  • Statement from fire expert
  • Statement from non-accredited institute
