Woodsafe PRO™ PLY fire protection can be usedu as interior cladding in a variety of smooth discs, perforation patterns and sheathed ribs for acoustics. Woodsafe PRO™ is not based on hygroscopic substances such as ammonium phosphate, di-ammonium, monoammonium, urea or similar substances.
Woodsafe PRO™ PLY is also available in Kerto-Q and Kerto-S on request.
Woodsafe PRO™ PLY is also made for uses such as Offshore Industry (IMO), the transport sector such as trains, lorries, buses, airplanes etc.
Woodsafe PRO™ PLY is available in several variants of plywood like birch, pine, fir, poplar and more, manufactured in accordance with the European Commission Construction Products Regulation CPR 305/2011, it is performance-declared and CE-certified according to EN13986:2004+A1:2015.
Woodsafe PRO™ PLY is delivered exclusively from premium partners, as wood-based boards must always be calibrated after impregnation.
Woodsafe PRO™ PLY is a method of flame retardant plywood for use in interior and exterior applications. The actual performance of the flame retardant wood panel takes place in an industrial vacuum pressure impregnation process, and associated fixation of the fire retardant in the wood cell structure is achieved through the KDAT process. Manufacturing is done according to our ISO 9001: 2015 manual and continuous production control agreement by RISE (formerly SP).
Using flame retardant wood in interior environments imposes air quality and emissions (VOC) requirements. Woodsafe PRO™ does not contain any solvents and is certified according to the type approval certificate of the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning building regulations (BBR) 2:2, 5:231, 5:551, -points 2, 3 and 4, 6:21 (Doc.reference. TG 0263-08).
Woodsafe PRO™ has consistent fire performance according to EN 16755DRF DRF1, DRF2 and EXT can be used in all applications with relevant requirements for B-s1, d0. K210/B-s1,d0. K110/B-s,d0 etc.

In our impregnation process, the wood and the wood product are fully woven and depending on the product, 10-30% by weight of fire protection agents are pressed into the cell structure and then dried back to a correct moisture ratio.
The combination of moisture and drying means that an already finished planed, sawn or processed wood product can become crooked and lopsided compared to untreated wood. In the fire impregnation process, the wood is soaked with water mixed with fire impregnator and then dried.
The impregnation process also means that dimensional changes due to wood and plywood can occur, even within the same quality assortment, which may result in the wood material dimension changing differently.
Dimension change may deviate from planing tolerance and plywood tolerance, which is considered ok because the impregnation process occurs after planing and the production of plywood. It is the responsibility of the client/customer to take into account these conditions when ordering Woodsafe contract impregnation services.
