I've found another product with the same fire class at a lower price. What do I need to keep in mind?
Everything! A fire classification and a lower price do not in any way mean that the product is approved or suitable for use.
It is your responsibility under the PBL and CPR to ensure that equivalent properties are specified for another product.
My customer requires a "green" fire retardant. Do you have one?
Unfortunately, Woodsafe fire retardant is not green; it is transparent.
However, if you’re looking for a fire-retardant product from a health and environmental perspective, Woodsafe PRO™ and Woodsafe WFX™ are approved for use.
The specified fire class is B-s1,d0; I've found that class on a product other than Woodsafe®. Can I choose that one?
A combination of letters and numbers does not mean that the product is suitable and can automatically replace the specified product, even if it is labeled B-s1,d0. You must check the underlying substrate, the product’s density and thickness, whether there is an air gap or not, and so on.

How should I respond if a company claims that its product is equivalent?
Of course, there may be equivalent products, but never trust mere praise. Always request third-party documentation from organizations such as RISE or its equivalent.
There are plenty of empty promises on the market, just as there are homemade certificates that are completely worthless.
